70s costumes are varied

70s costumes that you may see in retailers are sure to include characters from some of the big movies at the time. The most famous children’s film was undoubtedly Star Wars. The selection of different outfits that are available from that one movie is absolutely immense. It is still one of the most popular films ever made and thousands of people still love to dress up as Darth Vader, C3PO, Chewbacca or Luke Skywalker. Another great film from the period was Superman. It is very common to see at least one ‘man of steel’ at a fancy dress party.

If you have been invited to a party and you need to get yourself an outfit to wear, then 70s costumes are great fun. The selection to choose from really is very varied because it covers so many different areas.

The 1970s might have had some pretty awful clothes, accessories and shoes, but it was a lot of fun. It was a time of many different ideas and styles. People who grew up in that decade look back on its television, films, games and toys with a very great fondness.

I am more interested in looking like the flower people, I just love remembering that time when everything was coming out of san francisco. Who could forget.
The one tune i love most was the mammas and the pappas singing california dreaming.
It is such a beautiful track. I would certainly use it to add flavor to my 70s party.

I thought the 70s would be an easy genre to find a costume .I didn’t realise there are so many different genres within it. For example there was still Elvis Presley around so there are a whole range of suits and wigs . On the other hand Grease was also around so you see a whole range of grease outfits. Then finally you have the flower people in their psychedelic colours, These outfits are the most colourful and although not in fashion now, the theme gives you license to wear them to,say, a 70s party.

I had forgotten what i got up to in the 70′s. Looking into these products i so remember the pvc boots at discos. Yes, Travolta came in on the scene as well and certainly added something to the dancing. It is good to see these are still available for us oldies to bring things back to life
